Screw Remover (SR) Kit

Neo Screw Remover kit is composed of tools designed to remove the fractured screw safely and quickly
when the screw fracture has occurred inside the fixture due to various reasons.

1. Claw

The Claw is a surgical tool which can remove a screw that has fractured in the fixture.
After selecting the appropriate claw size for the screw that is to be removed, a guide to the Fixture (Conical/Internal/External Guide) is added before it is connected to the Shank Driver. The fractured screw can be removed by rotating by hand in the reverse direction. If the fractured screw cannot be removed using the claw, it must be removed using the Reverse Drill and the Screw Remover.

2. Reverse Drill

The Reverse Drill is a tool that creates a hole on the fractured face of the Screw that will be used by the Screw Remover. After selecting the appropriate Reverse Drill for the size of the screw that needs to be removed, it must be used by connecting a guide for the fixture (Perfect/Conical/Internal/External Guide). The depth of the drill can be adjusted from 1 to 3mm because the Drill body has markings. To remove a M1.6 size screw use the Claw. No matter the manufacturer, except in rare cases, they typically utilize screws of Size M1.6, M1.8, M2.0, or M2.5. (‘M’ stands for a metric screw. The number indicates the external size of the screw. For example, “M1.6 Screw” indicates that it is a metric screw the external diameter of  Which is 1.6 mm).

3. Screw Remover

The Screw Remover is a device that removes fractured screws. Insert the appropriate screw remover to fit the size of the hole that has been drilled and rotate at a low speed (at or below 80 rpm) in the reverse direction.
– The tapered shape of the screw remover increases as it rotates the amount of friction, which is necessary to loosen the screw.

4. Shank Driver

The Shank Driver is a surgical tool designed to be connected to the Screw Remover to allow the use of the hand, Torque Wrench, or Ratchet.

5. Perfect Guide & PG Hand Driver

The Perfect Guide acts as a guide for the Reverse Drill. It is used when the screw is fractured at the lower part of the female screw inside the Fixture. It is connected to the PG Hand Driver and is directly applied to the fixture’s female screw. The Perfect Guide has a built-in stop structure that prevents the Reverse Drill from drilling more than 2 mm.

6. Conical, internal, external Guide

They act as the guide when using the Reverse Drill. They are used when the perfect guide cannot be used, or if the screw was fractured at a location deeper than 2 mm into the lower part of the female screw inside the fixture. The appropriate guide to connect to the Fixture must be selected.

7. SR Driver Holder

This can easily be attached to the fixture by connecting it to the 3.5 double hex part of the conical, internal, or external guide.

Perfect Guide

Connect the PG Driver to the Perfect Guide then connect with the fixture.

 

 

 

Thanks to the drill stop inside the Perfect Guide, drilling over 2mm is not possible. However, when using the external, conical and internal guides, make sure to check the strip marking which indicates the drilling depth since they are not equipped with a drill stop.

 

 

Remove the guide and drill and insert the appropriate screw and remove the fractured screw by rotating counter-clockwise.

 

 

External, internal and conical guide

Install the selected guide on the guide holder and attach it to the fixture. The holder must hold firmly and be perfectly connected.

 

 

Insert the Reverse Drill in the guide and drill counterclockwise with irrigation (2000RPM) to make a 1-2mm hole in the fractured screw. Do not connect while the drill is rotating. You must drill once the drill touches the surface of the screw.

 

Remove the guide and drill and insert the correct Screw Remover to the hole. Remove the fractured screw by rotating counterclockwise.
